Evaluated Post-Disaster and Emergency Assembly Areas Using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Techniques: A Case Study of Turkey

Disaster is a general term for events that result in physical, economic, and social losses people occur when insufficient resources exist. Natural disasters, particularly earthquakes, are frequent occurrences worldwide. Although plans made both pre-and post-disaster periods, the painful experience of recent major earthquake on Eastern Anatolian Fault Line Turkey has highlighted inadequacy these terms feasibility. This study used four multi-criteria decision-making techniques—AHP, TOPSIS, COPRAS, BORDA—to evaluate selection suitability Gölbaşı district Ankara, Turkey. The AHP method was to weight criteria, which were then applied various approaches. Finally, utilizing BORDA method, alternative ranking derived from AHP, COPRAS procedures rated as more effective.
